Hi, I’m Sonia Pastrovicchio
I help parents support their child’s movement development through Functional Playground™, a structured and practical approach based on observation and guidance.
My Story
The accident (24 years old)
At 24, a serious accident abruptly changed my relationship with movement.
What had been natural became something to relearn, step by step.
I experienced firsthand how fragile mobility can be — and how deeply it shapes autonomy and confidence.
That period forced me to observe, adapt, and rebuild patiently.
It was the first time I understood that progress is not about intensity, but about precision and consistency.
The turning point
That experience gradually shifted my focus from performance to understanding.
I became less interested in “doing more” and more in knowing why and how movement develops.
This is when I started studying motor development in depth and working directly with children and families.
What began as a personal reconstruction turned into a professional commitment.
From that point on, helping others move better became more than a job — it became my purpose
Why I do this today
Today, my work is driven by a simple goal: give parents clear, usable tools they can trust.
I don’t believe in miracle methods or generic programs.
I believe in structured observation, small adjustments, and consistent guidance.
Because when movement becomes clearer, everything else follows — confidence, autonomy, balance.
And that is exactly what I want families to gain from Functional Playground™.

What I believe
Progress must be visible, understandable, and measurable
Small steps, repeated consistently, create real change
Parents are not observers — they are key partners
A clear plan always beats random exercises
Observe

I start by carefully observing how the child moves, plays and interacts with their environment.
Not to label, but to understand what is missing, delayed or inefficient.
This allows me to identify the real causes behind difficulties — not just the visible symptoms.
Observation is the foundation of every meaningful intervention.
Plan

From this analysis, I build a clear and realistic plan parents can apply at home.
Simple steps, adapted to daily life, without overwhelming the family.
Each exercise has a purpose and fits into a coherent progression.
The goal is not to do more, but to do what truly matters.
Guide

I then support families through feedback, adjustments and follow-up.
As the child evolves, the plan evolves too.
This guidance ensures that progress remains visible, sustainable and motivating.
Parents are never left alone with a protocol — they are actively supported.
Who I help
I work primarily with parents who are looking for clarity rather than quick fixes.
— Parents who feel stuck and unsure what to do next, despite having already tried several approaches
— Families looking for a home program that truly makes sense, adapted to daily life and realistic to follow
— Parents who want structure and understanding, not “try everything and hope”
If this sounds like you, we should probably talk.

CTA FINAL (Call to Action)
Wondering if this approach could be right for your child?
Every child is unique, and every family has its own rhythm, questions and hopes.
Taking a few minutes to talk together can often bring clarity and reassurance.
We can simply discuss your child, what you are observing, and what you would like to support or improve.
I will answer your questions honestly and help you see whether this approach could fit your family’s daily life.
No pressure, no obligation — just a calm, clear and supportive conversation.
